- As the Junior Chief of Staff, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities that are critical to the smooth operation of the Engineering division:
- Business Management & Planning:
- Support the annual strategic and financial planning cycles, helping to align engineering priorities with business objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of materials and presentations for executive leadership reviews and board meetings.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and departmental goals, providing regular status reports to leadership.
- Financial Management & Budgeting:
- Assist with the development and management of the global engineering budget, including forecasting, tracking actuals, and analyzing variances.
- Collaborate with finance partners and regional leads to ensure accurate financial reporting and resource allocation.
- Help oversee and manage operational expenses and vendor contracts.
- Project & Initiative Management:
- Provide project management support for cross-functional engineering initiatives, from planning and execution through to completion.
- Manage action items and follow-ups from leadership meetings, ensuring accountability and timely delivery.
- Serve as a central point of coordination for special projects that do not have a clear owner.
- Communications & Reporting:
- Draft and manage internal communications, including newsletters, all-hands meeting content, and organizational announcements.
- Develop and standardize reporting frameworks to provide leadership with clear visibility into progress against goals.
- Act as a key liaison between the global and regional engineering teams to ensure a consistent flow of information.
- Event & Office Management:
- Plan and execute key departmental events, such as town halls, tech talks, offsites, and training sessions.
- Provide support for general office management tasks and coordinate resources to ensure a productive work environment for the engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Min. 2 (for Analyst) / 3 (for Associate) years of relevant experience in a business operation, project management, business management, or consulting roles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneDrive) and project management tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to various audiences.
- A proactive, resourceful, and collaborative mindset with a high level of personal responsibility and a "can-do" attitude.
- Experience working within a large-scale technology, financial services, or engineering organization.
- Demonstrated experience assisting with budgeting and financial analysis.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
