Senior Technical Engineer

• Support the Technical section in the Power and Renewables team for the development of Renewable Generation Projects in SEA
• Perform site assessments and evaluate engineering designs for ground mounted solar and BESS projects throughout the project lifecycle
• Follow up on the detail engineering phase with selected partners, ensuring compliance with Technical Specifications and relevant legal requirements of the Renewable Generation Projects in SEA
• Support the execution of Renewable Generation Projects with strict compliance of HSE, Environmental, Quality and Keppel relevant policies
• Supervise and oversee the on-site construction and commissioning processes to ensure the projects meet the design specifications
• Provide technical input for Operation & Maintenance activities (such as O&M manual, solar monitoring setup, etc.)
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to improve project delivery continuously
• Ensure proper coordination between the Renewable Generation Projects and the rest of the Keppel stakeholders involved in the development of the Power Generation and Transmission Projects
• Direct participation in a good team environment within Power and Renewables team
• Contribute to Business Continuity Plan
• Participate to implement a Quality Management System as required
• To undertake additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Senior Technical Manager

• A Bachelor or Master in Electrical or Energy Engineering Degree from an accredited university. Additional qualifications in Management Administration, Safety, Project or Quality Management wll be an advantage
• At least 8 years' relevant Electrical Engineering experience in the power sector
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including AC and DC systems
• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, such as PVsyst, Helioscope, SolarGIS, and Homer Pro
• Detailed knowledge and experience of modern Health, Safety and Environmental practices
• Good understanding, technical knowledge and experience in the Design and/or Construction of large-scale ground mounted Solar PV Power Projects
• Experience in Operation and Maintenance of Solar PV Power Projects will be an added advantage
• Experience in Design and/or Construction and/or Operation and Maintenance of BESS Projects, Wind Hydro or Pumped Storage Hydro Projects will be advantageous
• Experience in Design and/or Construction and/or Operation and Maintenance of HV transmission lines (either AC or DC) will be advantageous
• Experience in Design and/or Construction and/or Operation and Maintenance of HV Substations (either Aerial or GIS) will be advantageous
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and willing to travel
• Good in English, with good verbal and written communications skills
• Having experience of Project Management is a plus
