We are seeking an Operations Supervisor for our client in the chemical manufacturing industry to take charge of ensuring the safe, efficient, and smooth execution of all plant operations and daily activities. He/she will champion operational excellence while ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.Responsibilities:Leadership & OperationsLead investigations, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve abnormal observationsAct as Site Main Controller (SMC) during after-hours emergenciesDirect team in process control, recovery, and emergency responseOversee inventory management and ensure reduction in ship-to-shore varianceCoordinate permit-to-work activities and inspectionsSupport commissioning during industrial plant turnarounds and planned maintenanceManage manpower planning, workflow scheduling, and communication between departmentsLead effective shift briefings and communicate key objectives to the teamSafety & ComplianceDrive compliance with VF, HSEQ, and regulatory requirements for both internal teams and contractorsServe as a trained PFSO (Port Facility Security Officer), Working-at-Height Supervisor, and Permit-to-Work ApproverEnsure readiness for customer, ISO, THA, and safety auditsUphold company standards and local legislationCustomer & Stakeholder ManagementBuild strong relationships with internal and external customersAddress enquiries, concerns, and complaints promptlyDeliver on customer requirements and expectations in a timely mannerPeople DevelopmentMentor, coach, and train team members to enhance operational competencyConduct performance reviews, appraisals, and JCP assessments, closing any competency gapsLead talent and succession planning initiativesPromote a positive and adaptable team cultureSupervise and develop both technicians and contractorsContinuous ImprovementInitiate and lead improvement programs in plant operationsSupport new projects and contractor managementContribute as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) trainer under the ACE programRequirementsDegree/Diploma in Chemical Process TechnologyAt least 5 years of relevant operations experience in a chemical industry with 3 years in a supervisory roleStrong practical knowledge of site processes and operations.Deep understanding of product handling, operational equipment, and safety management practices.Solid expertise in Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards and regulatory compliance.Familiarity with relevant legislation, industry codes, and best practices in operational safety.Trained or certified in relevant operational roles (e.g., Port Facility Security Officer, Working at Heights Supervisor, Permit-to-Work approver).
