Through the CMA CGM Foundation, the Group acts in humanitarian crises that require an emergency response by mobilizing the Group's shipping and logistics expertise to bring humanitarian supplies around the world.Present in 160 countries through its network of more than 400 offices and 750 warehouses, the Group employs more than 155,000 people worldwide, including 4,000 in Marseilles where its head office is located.Summary:As a Cargo Flow Officer, you will be responsible for optimizing vessel capacity utilization by ensuring efficient cargo flow planning, space allocation, and equipment repositioning. Reporting to the Cargo Flow Manager, you will work closely with Trade, Operations, and Sales teams to balance cargo demand, maximize network yield, and minimize operational costs.This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and effective coordination with various stakeholders in the shipping and logistics industry.Main Responsibilities:1. Cargo Flow Planning & Vessel Utilization
- Monitor and control vessel load factors through analysis of booking trends and cargo forecasts.
- Evaluate and analyze port and vessel operations performance to improve efficiency.
- Generate cargo flow reports to support decision-making and daily operations
- Implement medium-term space allocations (TEU, Deadweight, Equipment Size) and enforce adherence to allocation guidelines.
- Balance laden and empty container movements according to the Equipment Repositioning Plan.
- Work with the Transshipment and Vessel Planning teams to ensure cargo is properly connected to final destinations.
- Respond proactively to network disruptions such as port omissions, void sailings, and misconnected cargo.
- Develop alternative cargo recovery solutions and evaluate cost-benefit trade-offs.
- Minimize operational costs related to vessel changes, shutouts, and storage fees through effective planning.
- Minimum a Diploma Holder from recognized institutions, preferably in shipping or logistics and/or with at least 3 years of working experience in transportation or logistics industry would be preferred
- Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros)
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure
