Research Fellow (Enzyme Engineering), ChBE

• The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will work in a recently granted project to develop enzymes and biotransformations for the synthesis of chiral amines

• The research tasks include engineering of new enzymes by directed evolution, investigation of enzyme catalysis and kinetics, optimization of biosynthesis yield and process, and development of single-step and/or one-pot cascade enzymatic reactions for the production of chiral amines

• PhD trained in biochemical engineering, biocatalysis, biotransformation, biochemistry, biotechnology, synthetic biology, or bioorganic chemistry.

• Preferably with experience in enzyme engineering, directed evolution, enzymatic reactions, reaction engineering and optimization, whole-cell biotransformations, and/or process development.
