As a Bid and Proposal Manager for Process Automation business, you will be responsible for providing technical bid support for sales team in ensuring smooth execution of regional and global sales strategy for assigned area, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for systems and services in a profitable way for marine systems business line. Reporting to Head of Sales for Marine Systems, Local Business Line, you will be responsible for leading and developing the sales growth proactively, to exceed the sales targets through high performance in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. This position is based in Singapore.

Your responsibilities
  • Responsible for allocated segments in technical bid support for sales development and driving sales growth
  • Engaging in bid preparation of proposals for standard solutions through internal and external resources. Ensuring all proposals follow relevant ABB procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements
  • Ensuring sales achievement through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed
  • Coordinating the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc. and evaluates data to ensure achievement of goals
  • Ensuring achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for sales. Participating on negotiations of key contracts. Managing ongoing costs
  • Ensuring the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing)
  • Supporting the regional marine sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the proposal process
  • Preparing, delivering technical presentations and demonstration for both internal and customers on complex solutions
Your background
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • More than 8 years of proven sales and tendering experience in the field of marine, offshore & shipbuilding industries
  • Strong sales-oriented personality, with customer centricity mindset
  • Skilled in developing technical concepts and package with system integration with organization product portfolio
  • Good knowledge for electric propulsion system, automation & digitalization for marine or offshore industry
