As a Data & Analytics Intern within the Group Corporate Services, Central Procurement Office, you’ll play a key role in streamlining procurement data and delivering actionable insights to drive efficiency and cost savings.How you succeedTo thrive in this role, you’ll need a strong analytical mindset, a proficiency in Power BI, and a willingness to learn about the end-to-end procurement process. You’ll excel at developing automated data processes, creating compelling dashboards, and providing data-driven recommendations.What you doYou'll be directly involved in:
  • Assisting in the design, development, and implementation of automated ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to streamline data extraction and transformation for Power BI dashboards.
  • Supporting the creation and enhancement of Power BI dashboards by extracting operational statistics from the procurement module.
  • Assisting in various ad-hoc projects related to data analysis and reporting, providing insights based on operational statistics.
  • Learning about the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management.
Who you work withThe Group Corporate Services team provides essential support functions across OCBC. The Central Procurement Office is responsible for managing the bank’s procurement activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance.Who you are
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • Familiar with Power BI and data visualization techniques.
  • Possesses familiarity with data mining and data analytics techniques (preferred).
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • A proactive and collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
