
Manager, Track Civil Structure Maintenance

- To provide leadership in management, be responsible and accountable for the performance of NSEWL, BPLRT and CCL (Include future lines) Tunnel/Viaduct to ensure that the infrastructure of the Tunnel/Viaduct systems are effectively and efficiently maintained at all times to the required operational, reliable and safe standards to achieve the key objectives of the Branch.
- Monitor the condition of Tunnel/Viaduct Infrastructure to ensure that appropriate standards and complying of regulatory requirement such as MOM/SCDF/NEA/PUB/BCA/URA/LTA, etc.
- To ensure effective risk management and use the risk management tools to establish hazards and the associated risk involved.
- To ensure the safety and integrity of the infrastructures of tunnel/viaduct system by planning; monitoring, reviewing, and ensuring all preventive/corrective maintenance works/inspections, ad-hoc projects, asset renewal works are carried out timely as per master program etc.
- To ensure the maintenance fund is efficiently spent not only to maintain the reliability and safety of infrastructure but also to renew or upgrade them.
- To continually review and improve the maintenance strategy to ensure that the infrastructure is maintained cost effectively without compromising the safety and integrity.
- To maintain the infrastructure to fulfill the relevant LOA requirements, code of practice and ISO Quality procedure standards
- To monitor upgrading and new developments by others near NSEWL/CCL/BPLRT (Include future lines) tunnel/viaduct system and infrastructures to ensure the safety and reliability of our operation will not be affected by the construction activities.
- To manage defect punch-list of new tunnel/viaduct or development from LTA or COML department to ensure that the defects are cleared and proper handover of structures, equipment, as-built drawings, documents & etc by builder and suppliers.
- To respond to urgent faults round the clock and follow up the necessary actions to ensure the tunnel/viaduct operation is not affected.
- To monitor the trend and certifying the annual tunnel water collection to ensure tunnel classification comply with CP1(Code of Practice 1) and any other regulations
- To review and endorse relevant work Instructions, method statements, safe work procedures, risk assessments when is required.
- To oversee the welfares, safety, attendance, discipline, training, and development of staff in order to achieve their productivity, motivation and loyalty.
- Degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering preferred, Mechanical Engineering welcome to apply.
- 8 years of relevant working experience in railway infrastructure maintenance or 10 years of relevant working experience in underground, building structure maintenance with the following skills, attitude & knowledge: -
- Ability to manage and lead a group of diploma holders to work toward department's objectives.
- Strong planning and organizational skills in handling a group of direct and indirect workforce.
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Resourceful, self-motivated, and result-oriented
- Experience in underground, building structure maintenance and conversant with local regulations.
- Knowledge of contract execution, management, and administration.
