Our shared mission is to amplify, augment and accelerate the Home Team's advantage and secure Singapore as the safest place on planet earth.What you will be working on:The jobholder will be a member of xCybersecurity, providing security-by-design leadership to all departments in the Home Team and HTX. xCybersecurity promotes the adoption of defence-in-depth and security best practices and help enable the transformation of Home Team's cybersecurity capabilities. Through our work, we enhance the resilience of Home Team information-communication systems and networks against sophisticated threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability. 1. The jobholder will perform the role of Cyber Security Incident Response Officer and responsible to: • Report all confirmed or suspected cybersecurity incident; • Gather evidence for impact and severity assessment, and support investigations and forensics, if needed; • Assess the impact of the cybersecurity incident on affected parties; • Escalate the incident depending on the severity and impact of the cybersecurity incident; • Determine the appropriate containment and corrective actions; • Track and coordinate incident responses till closure; • Submit incident report, updates and After-Action report; and • Facilitate and/or conduct post incident After-Action Review, where required 2. Disseminate security advisories such as security threat reports, security directives, patch recommendations, etc to Agency stakeholders. 3. Coordinate and/or participate in WoG-wide or Sectoral table-top exercises 4. Keep track of cybersecurity incidents and key security threat event statistics and report to Agency stakeholders on a need-to basis 5. Perform periodic maintenance of firmware, hardware and software to keep security testing/cyber forensic/incident response equipment up to date and serviceable 6. Provide security consultation and/advice such as compliance to prevailing ICT security policies and guidelines with regard to agency project requests 7. Ensure the integrity and protection of networks, systems and applications through regular monitoring of threat and vulnerability detection/management sources 8. Perform security procedures to deter/prevent loss of data through portable storage media devices 9. Perform vulnerability scanning and/or security assessment on apps, such as client/servers software, mobile apps, etc that are to be deployed in corporate networks 10. Perform vulnerability scanning on computing devices to ensure the cyber hygiene of such devices before connecting to corporate networks 11. Perform other tasks as directed by the agency.What we are looking for:
  • Individuals who are proactive, keen to change status quo, collaborative, and a key influencer in the team's strategy. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Tertiary qualification in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or related engineering fields. • Possess relevant technical expertise in cybersecurity incident management/response and/or malware/vulnerability assessment • Minimally 2 years of proven work experience and skillsets. • Cybersecurity qualifications such as GIAC Certified Incident Handler Certification (GCIH), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Battlefield Forensics and Acquisition (GBFA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) will be beneficial. All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
