Job Description:
  • Daily monitoring and support of batch jobs.
  • Perform hotfixes as and when required.
  • Perform monthly deployments and quarterly DB password change.
  • Perform assessment and scheduling of batch jobs due to system maintenance activities.
  • Provide first level support to business users in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with business partners, third party vendors, and technology teams to achieve effective issue resolution within the specified SLA.
  • Analyse, document and track all actions taken throughout the lifecycle of the issue.
  • Evaluate documented resolutions, analyse trends, and make recommendations to prevent future occurrences of similar issues.
  • Participate and collaborate with the development team in requirements gathering, clarification, and analyse impacts on issue or users’ requirements.
  • Assist the application development team as needed by validating fixes or enhancement to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
  • Report to the Project Manager pertaining all production support activities.
  • Participate in system maintenance activities at odd hours when required including midnights, weekends and public holidays.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in customer support within an IT environment
  • Polytechnic or University graduate with IT background
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience on Unix
  • Knowledge on messaging systems such as IBM Websphere MQ (good to have)
  • Knowledge in Java language
  • Good Oracle SQL knowledge
  • Availability to work odd hours when required
