Were seeking a proactive Accounts Specialist to be part of a fast-paced, regional finance team supporting operations in Malaysia and Singapore. This is your opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end financial processes, support strategic product insights, and drive process enhancements that truly make an impact.What Youll Do:
- Be the key liaison between Financial Controllers and Shared Services to ensure accurate financial data capture and reporting.
- Lead the month-end closing process and ensure timely, accurate Financial Statement (FS) submissions.
- Drive product analysis in collaboration with Sales and Product teams; address accounting queries from HQ.
- Optimize general ledger workflows and ensure precise portfolio reconciliations.
- Manage bank reconciliations and statement interfaces across all Cluster entities.
- Prepare audit files and liaise with auditors and company secretaries for a smooth, clean audit outcome.
- Track and justify balance sheet open items, ensuring no loose ends.
- Handle SST configuration and submission to Royal Malaysian Customs accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with the Accountant Generals office for unclaimed money reporting.
- Maintain integrity of Cluster data and respond to inquiries from HQ.
- Support ad-hoc tasks with professionalism and initiative.
- A Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
- 35 years of experience in general ledger accounting or financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, audit practices, and SST regulations.
- Confidence working in a regional capacity with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SAP and Excel; able to learn systems quickly.
- An analytical, solution-focused mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Highly adaptable, organized, and proactive.
