What the role is:You will be working on the research of digital archiving and preservation of complex file formats as a Records Management Intern under National Archives of Singapore (NAS).What you will be working on:
  • To research and benchmark how other archives and libraries manage the archiving and preservation of complex digital formats e.g., CAD, email, and BIM files.
  • To translate the research into relevant recommendations and guidelines for dissemination to the various agencies and to experiment certain tools for the relevant works.
  • To attend regular team meetings, share findings, and shadow the work of NAS Officers.
What we are looking for:
  • Students from Humanities, Social Sciences, IT/Information Science related courses preferred.
  • Good research and IT skills and is able to synthesise information from multiple sources.
  • Keen Interest in archives and digital preservation.
  • IT literate and open to experimenting with new technologies and tools.
  • Good language proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Knowledge in programming would be an advantage.
  • Curious and inquisitive and possesses a positive learning attitude.
