Laboratory Supervisor - Immunology

- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Immunology bench.
- Ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely manner.
- Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the department.
- Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate staffing coverage.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, and performing the performance evaluation for staff.
- Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary.
- Lead cross-site harmonization efforts.
- Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.
- Ensure all equipment is being properly maintained through Quality Control.
- Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents.
- Evaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendations.
- Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development.
- Perform bench work as needed and maintain proficiency/competency in technical operations.
- Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures.
- Perform administrative duties as needed.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science or biological science
- Minimum 6 years of laboratory experience plus 4 years supervisory or management experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Candidate with strong immunoassay and clinical chemistry experience is a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced lab-environment.
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of CAP, ISO15189 accreditation and HCSA regulations.
- Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
- Proven ability to problem solve/troubleshoot and provide solutions under minimal supervision
- High level of attention to detail with strong organization skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable making decisions in a changing environment.
- Work shift: Monday – Friday/Tuesday - Saturday.
