- Regular field trips onboard research vessels that may extend outside conventional office hours
- Co-ordination of field trips, logistics and pre-field preparation
- Operating of equipment for field work on research vessels
- General maintenance of laboratories and equipment, duties including equipment troubleshooting with R & D engineers and vendors as well as performing scheduled preventive maintenance, equipment set-up and calibration
- Developing and managing standard operating protocols, risk assessments, equipment maintenance documentations
- Post-processing of data collected
- Data entry, statistical analysis, interpretation and report writing
- Purchasing of consumables and equipment
- General administrative duties
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Meticulous
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Resourcefulness, independence and ability to learn fast
- Ability to work outside conventional working hours, when required
- Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g. Word and Excel)
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
