- Assist with the management of research labs and aquaria including specialist Biosafety Level 2 and mariculture facilities.
- Conduct training for researchers using research facilities at the marine lab
- Assist with housekeeping, maintenance of equipment, safety management and procurement for the facility.
- Assist with facility events, outreach and education activities, as assigned
- Support activities for overall management of facility as assigned
- Degree in Life Science with modules in Aquatic Biology, Marine Biology or Aquaculture. Diploma holders with 2-3 years relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience with marine aquaculture and/or microbiology would be an advantage.
- Good communication and team work skills is essential.
- A Class 3 driving license would be useful.
- Preferably able to swim, and able/willing to work outdoors.
- Job location is the St John's Island National Marine Lab located on St John's Island. Ferry transport will be provided.
