- Manage and execute Global Security and Intelligence Center operations inclusive of four key processes: CCTV/ alarm monitoring and response; disruptive, targeted, executive threat intelligence monitoring and response; workplace violence program; and traveler assistance program.
- Manage and coach multidisciplinary and cross-functional team, inclusive of direct employees and non-employees. This includes ensuring GSIC team members consistently execute current operating procedures for monitoring and response.
- Maintain effective interaction models with all CSIS Anchors to ensure timely, clear and crisp escalation and coordination for security and crisis management response.
- Collaborate with CSIS Project Management and Technology (PM&T) with the business requirements and processes that need to be supported to enable PM&T to identify technology and systems to support the function of the GSIC.
- Support Risk and Controls and Transformation as well as to ensure all necessary approvals are in place for cross border data transfer and for data privacy considerations for all instances of the GSIC and Regional Control Rooms.
- Maintain Key Performance Indicators as per the guidance of Security Policy and Governance, Intelligence Governance, and Business Analytics and Data Governance to report the productivity and risk management of the GSICs.
- Coordinate the execution of appropriate training and establish oversight and supervision of the function commensurate with the criticality of the function, the distributed nature and round-the-clock nature of the operations.
- Develop and implement guidance and governance around the engagement with local enforcement and government agencies in the various jurisdictions in which Citi operates.
- Source and manage GSIC vendors and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), vendor-employee performance and training.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- 6+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Established experience in security operations required.
- Experience working or managing a security center involved in mission sets to include CCTV monitoring/Response, Intrusion detection systems response, escalation and reporting.
- Familiarity with banking security regulations and compliance standards.
- Background in corporate security or critical infrastructure protection.
- Experience coordinating with law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
- Strong knowledge of threat assessment and risk management strategies and familiarity with protective intelligence, Experience leading high-stakes incident and crisis response.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for cross-functional teams (IT, legal, compliance and risk management).
- Knowledge of physical security and geopolitical risks affecting Citi’s global operations.
- Ability to provide professional briefing to executives, stakeholders, peer institutions and government agencies for threat intelligence sharing. military, law enforcement, or intelligence experience can be an asset, especially in protective security or counter-threat operations.
- Extensive experience managing a Security Operations Center (SOC) or equivalent, including threat monitoring, incident response and real-time threat management.
- Deep background in security technologies, including access control systems, surveillance and threat detection systems such as CCTV and Intrusion Detections Systems.
- Crisis response experience, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to minimize the impact of incidents.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, International Relations or a similar field
- Master’s Degree preferred
