The Programmes Department comprises Education and Public Programmes. The Education Facilitator (Casual) role sits within the Education team and focuses on public-facing learning and engagement.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Education team is responsible for developing and implementing an ambitious programme of educational activities, events and interactive opportunities for a wide range of audiences.The Education Facilitator (Casual) postholder forms part of the front-facing team for the Education team – most often, the first point of contact and interface with public and group visitors.Facilitate hands-on learning experiences and interactive activities within ArtScience Laboratory, engaging visitors in meaningful conversations about art, science and technology.Support the delivery of educational programmes by guiding participants through demonstrations, informal learning sessions, and workshops whenever required.Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for learners of all ages, adapting facilitation style to suit different audience needs.Assist in the setup, maintenance, and reset of learning stations and materials to ensure smooth programme delivery.Provide accurate and engaging information about the museum’s exhibitions and educational offerings.Observe and report visitor feedback and engagement levels to support programme evaluation and improvement.Uphold safety and cleanliness standards within the Laboratory, ensuring all equipment and materials are used appropriately.Maintain a professional and approachable presence, encouraging curiosity and respectful engagement with visitors of all ages.Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting public programmes or museum-wide events when needed.Job RequirementsEducation & CertificationEntry level (min GCE O' level).Proficient in English (as a spoken language) and a confident public speaker.ExperiencePrior working experience in museums and/or hospitality industry is preferred.Experience in facilitating learning or presenting information to individuals or groups in public, educational, or informal settings is advantageous.Familiarity with interactive or hands-on learning environments is a plus.Other PrerequisitesExcellent spoken EnglishPassionate about art and/or science as well as museum-based education and engaging diverse audiences in meaningful learning experiences.Energetic and enthusiastic, with a warm and approachable personality.Self-motivated and proactive in engaging visitors and supporting programme delivery.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with people of all ages.Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapting to changing needs.Able to exercise sound judgment and remain calm in high-volume or challenging situations.Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform shift-based work, including weekends and public holidays.Available to commit to 3–4 days per week for a minimum of 3 months.Professional in appearance and demeanour.Marina Bay Sands is committed to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce, providing equal opportunities as we grow our talent base to match our growth ambitions in Singapore.
