For more information, visit .Reddit has a flexible first workforceReddit is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented User Data Policy Senior Specialist to support Reddit's Trust & Safety Policy (TSP) team. TSP focuses on a variety of trust and safety areas, with a particular emphasis on protecting the expression rights and private information of communities and users across Reddit through strategic solutions that balance defensible risk. Within TSP, the User Data Policy team crafts strategies, policies, and workflows necessary to handle global legal requests for user account information, data protection requests, and various child safety initiatives.We're looking for a seasoned professional with 4+ years of relevant experience in Trust & Safety, specifically handling user information requests from governments, law enforcement, and private parties (e.g. third-party lawyers). You will join our new and growing team in Singapore, working cross-functionally across the company to tackle complex challenges. Your drive and experience will create impact on Reddit's rapidly-growing international business while protecting user rights, including privacy and due process.Responsibilities:
  • Review and process legal requests for user information from global law enforcement and government agencies
  • Review and process legal removal requests from governments, law enforcement, private parties (lawyers/solicitors), and users
  • Support workflows involving user data policy issues, such as privacy & data protection requests
  • Participate in the Trust & Safety Policy emergency on-call rotation, which reviews and processes Emergency Removal Requests and
on a 24x7 basis * Develop and update internal processes and workflows to mitigate legal risk and enhance effectiveness
  • Manage internal escalations and educate partner teams on our policies and procedures
  • Identify and proactively communicate trends in order to inform decisions around policy and workflow development
  • Work cross-functionally with Legal, Anti-Evil Operations, Community, and Engineering teams in order to efficiently carry out job responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and identify user-related issues, and work with our stakeholders to seek resolutions right-sized solutions while mitigating risk

  • 4+ years relevant work experience, specifically handling legal requests for user information
  • Experience in working on legal content removal requests is a strong plus
  • Critical thinker who creates tailored solutions to a wide range of challenges
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Motivated self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently
  • Prior experience in a global team and working across time zones with flexibility on working hours
  • Required: Native proficiency in Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia)
  • Additional language proficiency (eg, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Japanese, etc) a strong plus
