Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates the most innovative and efficient data centers in the world. Meta is seeking a leader for Site Selection Strategic Partnerships to develop Meta's global data center portfolio in line with the company's strategic objectives to advance our efforts around AI. This role has overall global responsibility for development of the data center strategic partnership program.Strategic Partnerships Leader ResponsibilitiesGrow and lead the strategic partnerships program including identification and commercial structuring of development partner opportunities to enable future data center capacity growthCollaborate with key leaders across design, engineering, construction, network, and legal to develop the strategic plan needed to execute against the company's aggressive capacity targetsGuide team members on overall strategic approach to developing new capacity while mitigating risk and ensuring that sufficient contingency plans are in placeAccountable for data center partners supply pipeline opportunities and delivering on capacity targets while minimizing cost and optimizing for flexibility and optionalityRepresent Meta in meetings with executives from potential suppliers, governments, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholdersRecruit, on-board, and mentor internal staff and ensure robust learning and career developmentTravel domestically and internationally as needed (25%+)Minimum Qualifications12+ years of overall experience, including in industrial real estate, infrastructure and development spaceProven track record of delivering large scale multi-party deals resulting in data center capacity deliveryProven commercial leadership and negotiation experience on multi-variable, complex deals involving scalable land, energy, and third party data center capacityProven track record of delivering large capital projects leveraging complex commercial structuresExperience developing the vision for a strategic partnership program including opening new markets internationally utilizing partnership structuresStrategic thinker with experience driving decision making in ambiguous environments with experience influencing executive stakeholdersAnalytical problem-solving skills, experience being effective in a fast paced, hands-on work environment, and have a track record of success leading projects and developing complex solutions across multiple stakeholdersEffective collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicatorDemonstrated communication and presentation skillsProven track record of organizational leadership, including leading larger organizations and scaling teams during growth cyclesKnowledgeable about and/or experience to quickly assess industry trends and headwinds, market opportunities, and the competitive landscapeBachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experiencePreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, finance, real estate, MBA or J.D12+ years of commercial real estate investment and development experiencePrivate equity and investment banking experienceInternational infrastructure development experienceExperience in data center industryAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
