- Support the O&M Manager to meet the contractual, technical and commercial set-up and operation of Ulu Pandan NEWater Plant
- Support the day-to-day water plant operational activities according to the process specifications and its quality requirement
- Track and monitor Plant performance and document and make analysis
- Perform quality monitoring and operational works according to the safety requirement
- Carry out continuous process/ operational improvement programs
- Receive materials/ spare parts and maintain proper inventory
- Support plant process trouble-shooting when required
- Advise isolation/ normalization of equipment as required by the Permit-To-Work system
- Assist fully with and help implement and manage all Health, Safety and Environmental practices
- Authorized Person under Permit-To-Work system, authorizing maintenance works in the Plant and ensuring preparedness of the equipment (isolation/de-energization) to carry out works during the absence of the Shift Leader
- Prepare and periodically review Risk Assessment / Work Instructions
- Ensure that the plant documentation conforms with ISO requirements
- Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by immediate Supervisor / Head of department from time to time
- Possess a Polytechnic Diploma or Certification in Chemical Process Technology, Mechanical, Electrical or other engineering-related field
- At least 2 years of work experience in similar field preferred
- Positive attitude and a good team-player
- Willing to work on shift
- Willing to work at multiple sites
- Willing to work beyond normal working hours due to operational needs of the NEWater Plant
- Understanding, knowledge and experience of NEWater plant design, operations and maintenance would be an advantage
- Able to work as part of a specialist shift team and liaise with numerous personnel during critical plant outage periods
