- Maintain content calendar ensuring a balance between educational content and engaging, trend-driven posts.
- Content Development for Gen Z:
- Content Adaptation for Research Community, Industrial and Public Sector Partners:Adapt formal research papers, case studies, and whitepapers into dynamic, engaging content pieces such as blogs, articles, social media posts (IG and FB, LI, and progressively TikTok, X, or YouTube etc.), emails and short-form videos that spark curiosity and encourage action.
- Use data-driven insights to design content formats that attract attention (e.g., infographics, GIFs, animations, and visual storytelling elements) while ensuring alignment with the academic rigor of the original research.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, memes, and formats, using them to increase the reach and impact of research-based content.
- Manage multiple platforms and create tailored content for each, ensuring that messaging aligns with both formal research and the audience’s preferences.
- Manage and engage with our social media community on a daily basis (within office hours), responding to comments, questions, and interactions related to our research content.
- Use social media platforms to spark conversations, engage followers, and share research insights, making sure to use the appropriate tone and style for each platform (IG, LI, X etc.).
- Build a community around the research topics, encouraging discussions and follow-up interactions through both organic posts and targeted campaigns
- Optimise all content for search engines to increase visibility and drive organic traffic to research publications and academic content.
- Ensure all digital content (articles, blog posts, landing pages) is SEO-friendly, with a focus on attracting relevant audience traffic and increasing click-through rates.
- Monitor and analyse content performance across social media platforms, using insights to refine content strategies and improve engagement with various audience.
- Provide regular reports on content performance, highlighting what’s working and identifying areas for improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in content creation.
- Strong copy vetting and writing, editing, and communication skills to present complex data or findings to balance creative content with the accuracy of academic reporting.
- Experience developing social-first, engaging formats for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn.
- Experience in responding to comments, engaging followers, and fostering positive online interactions.
- Knowledge of Gen Z’s social media behaviour, trends, and preferences, with the ability to craft content that resonates with this demographic.
- Experience with SEO, content optimisation, and understanding of analytics tools to measure content performance (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, or social media insights).
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro).
