The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is one of the top 11 mechanical and aerospace engineering schools in the world. With well-established industry partnerships, MAE provides an active and vibrant research environment with excellent R&D infrastructure and numerous opportunities for research funding. The school has an enrolment of over 2500 undergraduate students with over 90 faculty members and 140 full-time research staff working in well-equipped state-of-the-art laboratories. A growing research student population of over 400 is also actively engaged in strategic research and development work.We invite highly qualified candidates in the following expertise areas to join our dynamic team of faculty.Renewable Energy / HydrogenCandidate Profile:Possess relevant Bachelor and PhD degrees from reputable universities.With more than 5 years' experience in a senior academic leadership role or senior company leadership role will be an advantage.Possess a successful and proven track record of teaching achievements including academic/industry leadership and team building.Experienced in cross-disciplinary initiatives and collaboration.History of successful training and development of early career researchers, including PhD students.Strong network with renowned international entities and organizations will be a plus.Demonstrated research achievements in the fields of renewable energy or/and hydrogen. Possible areas are but not limited to renewable energy generation/transmission/storage, H2 production/storage and transportation/utilization/ infrastructure and safety, H2 gas turbine, etcExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Possess a strong research publication record with demonstrated leadership in conducting inter-disciplinary research and collaboration with industry.History of successful grant achievementsExperience with the related industry and/or academic administration will be advantageous.The successful appointee will be appointed as Full Professor with a joint appointment with both the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and the School of Materials Science and Engineering. The appointee is expected to be involved in teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise graduate students and undergraduate projects and conduct research.Hiring Institution: NTU
