For more information, visit gf.comDevelopment of Semiconductor Sensors and CharacterizationProject ObjectiveSemiconductor sensors like optical sensors and magnetic sensors are key devices that could be employed for a wide range of applications. In this work, the student will focus on enabling the automated testing and characterization of semiconductor sensors.Project DescriptionThe intern will get exclusive insights and hands-on experience in GlobalFoundries’ state-of-the-art semiconductor characterization facility. He or she will develop programs using commercial software, Labview and/or C/C++ to automate the testing and carry out extensive characterization on semiconductor devices. In the course of development, additional hardware design on PCB might be required to enable specific characterization.During the final phase, the student will validate the setup by characterizing the devices.Project OutcomeIntern will gain real-world experience in semiconductor device testing methodology, and get the chance to develop and build automated testing capability for state-of-the art optical/magnetic sensors.Required QualificationsDegree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer engineering or equivalentExperience in programming languages, eg.
