COMPANY OVERVIEWOur client is a leading national research organization driving innovation through interdisciplinary science and technology to support industry transformation and societal advancement.We are currently looking for a Scientist (Robotics related).JOB RESPONSIBILITIESConduct research on advanced algorithms, technologies, and tools; perform comparative evaluations and provide recommendations to support smart robotics and automation system developmentEngage with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, understand problem statements, constraints, and desired outcomesDesign and implement novel algorithms and software modules in areas such as autonomous manufacturing, intelligent human-centric automation, and reconfigurable robotic systemsCollaborate with the team to validate solutions through virtual modeling, simulations, physical prototyping, and demonstrator developmentAnalyze existing roadmaps, identify emerging research opportunities, and contribute to the development of new project or grant proposalsPrepare comprehensive technical documentation and deliver presentations to multidisciplinary audiencesAuthor scientific publications and contribute to intellectual property disclosures and technology documentationJOB REQUIREMENTSPh.D. in AI, Computer Science, or Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace, Automation) with specialization in optimization, machine learning, robotics, autonomous systems, or cyber-physical systemsMinimum 2 years of R&D experience in a relevant technical domainStrong foundation in computing, data science, and AI applications for robotics, autonomous systems, or industry-relevant challengesProficient in Python and C/C++ for developing algorithms in data analysis, optimization, and machine learningProven track record of publications in top-tier journals/conferences and/or patentsExcellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, technical documentation, and presentation skillsHands-on experience with Generative AI and Reinforcement Learning is a strong advantageFamiliarity with systems-level modeling and simulation tools (e.g., Simulink) is a plusIndustry project experience, either pre- or post-Ph.D., is highly desirableBenefits
