The intern will work on cutting edge innovations in the digital aviation domain to drive our data science initiatives and build models that can help with making effective decisions. During the internship, the student will gain knowledge in different aspects of aviation industry. Meanwhile, the related trainings will be provided to the intern.Internship Cycle: This opening is for a long-term pipeline preparation, it will be a rolling program with consistent hiring demand, please add your planned internship period in application/resume.The onboarding date can be discussed in a later stage. Earliest start timing: June/July 2024.Duration: 6 months preferred, negotiable.Attendance: Full-time preferred.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:1) Build and implement state of the art, scalable machine learning and deep learning models to meet the business needs2) Validate historical data with statistical analysis and deploy machine learning models3) Drive the data science activities from concept creation to visualization and deployment4) Collaborate and work closely with application development teams to deploy models in production environment and/or integrate analytics capabilities into API microservices5) Other tasks and duties requested by management.Basic Skillsets and Qualifications:Motivated by an international and fast-paced work environment with a strong team spirit and motivational characterExcellent communication and story-telling skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Skillsets and Qualifications:Bachelors or Masters students majoring in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related fieldAdvanced programming skills in Python and/or R.Able to write and execute complex queries using SQL and NoSQLExperience in various components of the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Spark, MapReduce etc.)Proven experience in ML frameworks or libraries such as Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch etcAble to visualize data using D3.js or visualization tools such as TableauHand-on experience with deploying models in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS etc.)Object oriented software development experience using modern programming languages is a plusPrior experience in working with aviation datasets is a plusStudents enrolled in final year or this internship will be contributed to the graduation is preferredOther job related information:This requisition is for a locally hired internship.
