- Evaluate potential suppliers for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement supplier quality agreements outlining expectations, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct supplier audits to assess compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
- Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, product quality, and corrective action response time.
- Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, non-conformances, and deviations in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality performance and reduce supply chain risk.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality control teams to address quality issues and drive supplier development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier quality activities, audit findings, corrective actions, and supplier performance metrics.
- Stay updated on food safety regulations, industry trends, and best practices in supplier quality management.
- To succeed in this role, you must possess a Degree in related disciplines, preferably with minimum 3 years of related work experience
- Experience in overseeing supplier management, including approval processes and performance monitoring.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with suppliers.
- Leading the QC team to ensure inspections align with BRCGS, SMETA 4-pillars, FDA, HACCP standards, and GMP requirements.
- Proficient in people management and communication.
- Skilled in root cause analysis for deviation and non-conformance handling, with adept problem-solving abilities using QC tools.
- Expertise in developing SOPs, work instructions, checklists, forms, and records.
- Proficient in chemical and microbiological testing protocols.
