Job Description:
  • Grant Management System Implementation
  • Prepare and compile both financial and non-financial data to support a smooth system migration.
  • Cleanse and validate data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency for migration readiness.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, if any, to maintain data integrity.
  • Populate data on designated forms (where necessary) to facilitate accurate data upload into new system.
  • Support troubleshooting during post-go-live stablisation phase, addressing initial system issues and user feedback and queries.
  • Perform user-acceptance-testing (UAT), if required.
  • Undertake any other task related to system implementation and migration, as assigned.
  • Grant Administration
  • Create new grant master data in system with accuracy, uniformity and consistency to facilitate future system sustainability.
  • Ensure research assets are properly recorded in the asset register.
  • Work with grant administrators to ensure that claim submissions are accurate and submitted promptly.
  • Track and monitor the utilisation of grants and highlight projects that under-utilised budgets.
  • Undertake any other task related to grant administration, as assigned.
  • Grant Reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports for internal reporting.
  • Prepare and audit schedules for internal reporting.
  • Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders, where necessary.
  • Support project certification and audits (including liaise with auditors and coordinate audit).
  • Undertake any other task related to grant reporting, as assigned.
  • Governance
  • Ensure grant administration complied with terms and conditions of the grant agreements.
  • Reconcile claim statement to accounting records.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accountancy, Business or a related discipline with at least a year of work experience. Candidates with less than a year of work experience, but who have some working exposure to system implementation are welcome to apply.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
  • Fast learner with ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written skills are essential).
  • Able to work well with people at different levels of the organisation.
  • Committed, meticulous, organised and resourceful with positive work attitude.
  • Good Microsoft Office application skills.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP and/or any of the major accounting software will be an advantage.
  • Familiar with BI tools (e.g. Qlik sense, Power BI, Tableau) will be an added advantage.
