Conduct studies to ascertain the geothermal resource potential. - Manage geophysical and geotechnical studies (i.e. working together with Consultants and liaising with Government agencies) to characterise subsurface structures and temperatures, and integration of study results into reservoir simulation platforms for assessing geothermal resource in Singapore. 3. Develop ecosystem to support prospective geothermal projects. - Ascertain R&D required to support the deployment of deep geothermal systems in Singapore. - Develop regulations and policies to support the potential large-scale deployment of deep geothermal systems in Singapore. Engage global regulators and work with local government agencies to tailor international best practices to local context. - Develop plans and policies to build domestic capabilities in developing, operating and maintaining deep geothermal systems in Singapore. 4. Develop and implement plans to scale up the deployment of geothermal systems. - Identify and safeguard suitable sites to deploy deep geothermal -systems in Singapore. Work with stakeholders to deploy geothermal pilots and testbeds. - Identify deployment challenges (e.g. supply chains, availability of equipment, and develop solutions to overcome them)What we are looking for:- Degree in Engineering preferably in Civil Engineering with specialisation in geotechnical or equivalent. - Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in subsurface infrastructure development and/or geothermal energy systems. - The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to translate conceptual plans into actual implementation plans. - - Project management credentials to lead complex multi-disciplinary projects will be a plus. - Knowledge in the areas of local geology, site investigation (including drilling methods and geophysics), fracking, seismic monitoring will be advantageous. - Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills (both written and verbal). - Resourceful in integrating information from various sources and deriving insights. - Ability to critically assess energy technologies in Singapore's context and provide well-considered analyses. - Effective in representing EMA and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight timelines. - Committed team player with a passion for shaping Singapore's energy landscape. - Be able to work independently and takes initiative in his/her work.About Energy Market Authority:The Energy Market Authority (EMA) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
