Job Description :About the CompanyOur client is a well-established organization with a strong presence in the transport and infrastructure sector.ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a driven and experienced System Engineer to be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of both on-premises and cloud infrastructure while driving automation and innovation across system operations.

Provision, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments;

Manage deployment and lifecycle of virtual machines, storage, and databases on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud;

Implement security policies, manage user access, monitor threats, and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards;

Proactively monitor and optimize system performance and resource utilization; identify and resolve technical issues;

Automate routine system and infrastructure tasks;

Deploy and upgrade application software and reports; participate in planning and change management;

Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support system integration and cloud-based deployments;

Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution, including dry runs and real-time failover scenarios;

Manage vendor relationships and participate in incident reporting and resolution;

Identify cost optimization opportunities across infrastructure footprint.

Requirements

Tertiary education in information technology;

At least 5 years of relevant working experience, particularly with knowledge of cloud security best practices;

Hands-on experience in Windows, Linux, AIX operating systems;

Strong understanding of cloud platforms;

Familiarity with middleware, data warehouses, and data integration tools

Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools, as well as scripting skills in Python, PowerShell or Bash;

Good team player and ability to work independently.
