JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsibilities:
  • Proactively monitor, identify, develop and implement improvements in O&M processes, activities and equipment
  • Coordinate O&M matters of the plant
  • Diagnose and resolve any O&M issues that may arise.
  • Relevant knowledge of Waste-To-Energy Plant and Steam Turbine operations
  • Maintain availability on a 24-hour per day / 365 per day year call basis in case of emergency
  • Prepare and submit daily / monthly report to NEA on routine basis on plant performance
  • Communicate with PSO / EMA on matters relating to energy export to national grid
  • Investigate, report and troubleshoot findings on Quality, Health Safety Environmental (HSE) and Energy audit matters
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments
  • Contribute to Mega plant initiative or overseas/new plant design
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor / plant management
  • Support the O&M Manager in the control of operations, consumables, manpower, maintenance activities, projects and its budget
  • Satisfy Primary Customers (i.e. National Environment Agency, Keppel) and build up good relationship between all stakeholders
  • Efficient running of the plant and satisfy all contractual and statutory/regulatory requirements;
  • Assist O&M Manager to manage and be responsible for the safe, efficient and smooth operation of the plant critical and auxiliary equipment inclusive of the boilers and steam turbine generators
  • Assist in the activities of Central Control Room (CCR), Weighbridge, Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant, Overhaul, reception hall, bunker management and other general plant matters
  • Ensure that incidents (if any) are well-handled and properly documented with minimum disruption to operations
  • Enforce plant safety procedures and achieve good safety record. Ensure no repeated findings.
  • Liaise with contractors on matters relating to operations and solid waste management
  • Assist in matters relating to maintenance activities (both Mechanical and Electrical) inclusive of Overhaul, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Predictive Maintenance
  • Be responsible for resolution of Jobcards (J/C) & Permit-to-Work (PTW) and the safety associated
  • Provide support to BCP, IQC, R & D, ISO, external and internal audit and any other activities.
  • Review of stock and inventory management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to read PID, mechanical engineering drawing
  • Computer literacy skills – Microsoft words, excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, outlook Self-motivated individual with good communication skills
  • Good team player with ability to work with people from different level
  • Openness to overseas assignment will be an advantage
