The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.About the team
As a Law Enforcement Emergency Response Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in protecting our global community by tackling sensitive content and processing reports of content infringement.Responsibilities
- You'll demonstrate operational excellence on a team that evaluates risk, threats, and user privacy in a world centered around time-critical emergency escalations.
- You'll review and assess inbound emergency escalations from Law Enforcement and other teams.
- You'll execute instant decision-making while analyzing a variety of factors that include imminence of danger, sensitivities, and graphic content and coordinate with several internal and external partners including law enforcement in an attempt to ensure user's safety.
- You'll operate in a work environment with highly sensitive content that includes child exploitation, graphic violence, self-injury and suicide, and other content which may be considered offensive or disturbing.
- You'll create and articulate written and/or verbal responses to questions from law enforcement, government agencies, and internal teams regarding Emergency Response policy and process.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
- You have experience working in operations, trust and safety, or an equivalent environment and have experience with social media, analytical tools, and online research
- You have proven ability to make important decisions and assess threat and risk independently, and multi-task under pressure, responding quickly to changing situations in complex environments without compromising quality
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, should be able to adapt communication style to suit different stakeholders like cross-functional teams and law enforcement
- You have proficiency in English and Arabic as you will predominantly cover the Arabic speaking markets or alternatively a second language in the APAC region (e.g. Japanese/Bahasa Indonesia/Bahasa Melayu) as you will predominantly cover one of the APAC (e.g. Japanese/Bahasa Indonesia/Bahasa Melayu speaking) markets
- You are able to work weekend days on a rotational basis or a regular schedule of either Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-ThursdayPreferred Qualifications
