The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) serves to drive research development and industry adoption of additive manufacturing technology through collaborative projects with leading industry partners, and with schools and research centres within and beyond the University.SC3DP is looking for a Research Fellow (RF) to research on the areas of design rules for 3D printing technologies using the advanced modeling and simulation.Responsibilities:Manage the projects with the defined milestones and deliverablesManage day to day laboratory activities and a team of researchersManage laboratory facilities and support research projectsWrite and support research proposalsSupport the administration of major research/industry projects to meet deliverables and KPIWrite and prepare communications content and interface with the industryEnsure processes and procedures are executed in compliance to the University’s policy frameworkConstantly seek improvement for laboratory operations (e.g. reduce cost and improve operational efficiency)Carry out hands on experiments with 3D printing machinesSupport to develop journal and conference articlesCoordinate and organise activities related to the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (e.g. competitions, conferences and hosting visits)Requirements:Ph.D. in the area of Industrial, Mechanical, and Materials EngineeringEngineering Design and OptimizationFEA Simulation and Computational fluid dynamicsSLS, SLM, FDM, PBF and DED 3D printing experimentMonitoring and Inspection of AMOptimization and control to improve quality of polymer and metallic powdersSkills: FEM software (Comsol Multiphysics, Abaqus), CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD), UNITY3D, Visual C++, LabVIEWWe regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTU
