- Collaborate closely with HAMERKOP’s consultants on studies, analytics, assessments, and technical reports related to forestry management, conservation, and restoration projects across Southeast Asia (including Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia).
- Support the delivery of client assignments, including the formulation of emission reduction projects, conducting technical feasibility studies, performing due diligence on carbon projects, and assisting with project certification under major carbon standards (such as Verra, Gold Standard, Plan Vivo, and ERS) for NGOs and private developers.
- Provide strategic advice on voluntary carbon markets for NGOs and private sector clients, and contribute to the feasibility and design of climate change mitigation projects for international organizations and governments.
- Drive business development activities by identifying new opportunities, building networks, drafting technical and commercial proposals, preparing concept notes, liaising with partners, sourcing technical experts, and following up with prospects.
- Build and maintain strong external relationships with project teams, clients, and partner organizations, serving as a key point of contact.
- Stay up to date with rapidly evolving climate change policies, finance mechanisms, and relevant international and national legislation (e.g., outcomes from COPs).
- Promote HAMERKOP’s brand and technical credibility by creating and sharing insightful blog content and thought leadership.
- MSc in a technical field related to forestry, environmental science, conservation, or ecology.
- 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in climate, forestry, or conservation projects.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to produce well-presented, error-free reports and deliverables.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, as well as a second language relevant to Southeast Asia.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive mindset, good humour, and a collaborative team spirit.

- Prior experience working in Southeast Asia on climate change, energy, or forestry projects.
- Previous consulting experience, including client and project management.
- Degree in forest engineering and management.
- Knowledge of greenhouse gas emission accounting and familiarity with carbon markets.
- Experience with GIS tools and applications.
