[What the role is]
Ranked top 50 most attractive employers in Singapore - 'The Straits Times Singapore's Best Employers 2023'.You will assist in the implementation of EduTech-related projects within Singapore Polytechnic. You will also be working with the academic schools to provide and adopt EduTech solutions to meet end-users’ teaching and learning requirements. This role will also give you an opportunity to collaborate with other technologists in other polytechnics on joint initiatives to enhance EduTech-enabled Teaching and Learning.[What you will be working on]
  • Participate in and/or manage EduTech-related projects.
  • Explore the affordances of EduTech platforms and tools, and to provide solutioning for end-users, i.e. academic staff, which includes user requirements gathering, identification of problem statements, and proposing appropriate EduTech solutions to meet the requirements.
  • Work with end-users on the adoption of enterprise Edu-Tech platforms and tools e.g. Learning Management System
  • Work with end-users on adoption the of the learning analytics to support Teaching and Learning needs.
  • Conceptualise, develop training materials and conduct (online/blended/face-to-face) workshops to train end-users on the use of the EduTech solutions.
  • Provide consultancy services and technical support to end-users on the use of the EduTech solutions
  • Conduct evaluation on EduTech related project or programme effectiveness
[What we are looking for]
  • Minimally 4 years of experience in leveraging EduTech to support Teaching and Learning. Experience working in an educational institution will be preferred.
  • Strong practical knowledge in the use of EduTech for Teaching and Learning
  • Strong practical knowledge in data / learning analytics
  • Experience in designing and facilitation of workshops for end-users
  • Experience in courseware development, including leveraging software applications to produce engaging learning content, interactive digital media and audio/video materials
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems, preferably with Desire2Learn Brightspace LMS
  • Knowledge of pedagogies / pedagogical concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Effective communication (oral and written), interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Passion for the use of technology and data to inform improvements
Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
