- Manage the overall process and governance of master data creation and maintenance to ensure accuracy and consistency across APAC organisation
- Develop, execute and enforce the Master Data Management and Data Governance best practice for APAC in accordance with global policies and Master Data standards
- Support the development of data standards by working with GMDM Governance team to review and approve new KDD to be implemented regionally.
- Guide master data owners in each affiliate markets in APAC to ensure they understand and follow the process
- Provide stewardship on master data maintenance process (materials, customer, vendor, GL, pricing master data)
- Ensure data consistency, integrity and usability across SAP systems and modules
- Monitor, review and resolve escalated issues relating to Master Data with RCA and CAPA processes
- Lead a team of data management professionals, providing mentorship and supports
- Responsible master data support SLA on Incidents, Problems and Change Requests and provide intervention guidance and proactive solution when required.
- Assist user in requirements gathering, preparation, and follow through of Change Requests
- Support the development of data standards by working with Global data governance team to review, approve and implement new SOP in APAC region
- Foster cross-team collaboration with SAP functional leads to proactively address master data challenges
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
- Minimum 5 years in master data experience, within functional background in SAP MM
- Experienced in developing and implementing methods, procedures, and processes for master data management, operation and support
- Experienced in master data integrations between SAP systems, and to 3rd parties systems
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team management and coordination skills for virtual, cross-cultural teams
- Experience working with geographically diverse teams
- Collaborate well in cross functional matrix environment
- Good problem solving, troubleshooting skills and able to work independently
- Project management, ITIL and AMS team operation experiences
- Strong understanding of SAP data structures and functionalities
- Experience working with specific SAP modules like Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, PIR / pricing conditions etc
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal skills and proficient in English
- Ability to speak other languages will be an added advantage. Example, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia, Thai, Japanese, Korean etc
