Your role & work environmentYou will work in the dealing room of ING in Singapore, as part of Client Solutions Group (“CSG”) Rates, a highly specialised team within Financial Markets Sales. Client Solutions Group is a global team (with presence in dealing rooms of Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, and New York), that works together with various local corporate and institutional sales teams in driving client engagement and delivering new or enhanced FM products to our clients. CSG consists of product specialists (rates, FX, commodities and equity) and area specialists (Project Finance, Debt Capital Markets, M&A).Your key responsibilitiesResponsible to drive client engagement by identifying, developing and marketing hedging solutions in collaboration with structuring, trading and research globallyEnhance the FM product proposition to corporate and institutional clients through new product delivery (from conceptualization to product launch) by working closely with different stakeholders in trading, risk, finance and operationsComplement the APAC origination sales in all aspects of the rates derivatives sales process, from idea generation, product and pitch development, to structuring solutions and executionDevelop value adding services that make a difference for our clients (e.g. adding value in hedge consulting, hedge accounting, risk analytics, sustainability)Structure, negotiate, and execute complex rates transactions, including hedge coordination and deal contingent hedgingGuide and ensure the quality of pitching material and follow-up reports that are produced in the team and in the platform, including our internsContinuously support colleagues from FM Sector Coverage and Product as well as clients on rates productsVisit clients and sales locations in APAC together with the local origination sales to pitch rates solutionsDrive rates business strategy planning by working closely with trading and structuring in identifying key market opportunities and monitor progress in the execution of the strategy.We look forA colleague with a talent for taking it on and making it happen, enthusiasm for helping others to be successful and a knack for always being a step ahead. You love to challenge the status quo and are eager to propose creative solutions to problems.As a Director at FM CSG Rates, you will also need:A university degree in econometrics, business economics, financial engineering, and/or CFA or equivalent academic background7+ years of relevant working experience in the financial services sectorStrong knowledge of financial markets products (swaps, forwards, options in various asset classes); knowledge on hedge accounting, yield enhancement products, non-linear credits, structured financing and financial risk management is considered a plusStrong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills.
