What the role is:To protect the health of Singaporeans by reducing the burden of communicable diseases through evidence-based policy formulation, implementation of effective disease prevention and control programmes, and epidemiological surveillance strategies.You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:Key Job Responsibilities:Develop, implement and monitor border health measures encompassing disease prevention strategies, surveillance programmes and outbreak response coordinationProvide technical subject matter expertise for border healthFormulate and review border health policies to prevent local establishment of infectious diseases of concernDevelop technical reports, policy briefs and strategic recommendations to support decision-making processesPartner with multi-sectoral stakeholders and cross-border agencies for border health mattersWhat we are looking for:Job Requirements:Preferably with Life Science, Medical, Nursing, Public Health or Epidemiology backgroundMinimum 2-3 years work experience work experience in public health or border healthExperience in working on border health operations, policy development and technical writing would be an advantageStrong analytical skillsets, including grasp of data analysis techniquesAbility to work under pressure and simultaneously on different projectsExcellent organisational skills and resourcefulnessGood inter-personal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team and collaborate across disciplinesWilling to work beyond office hours, especially during outbreaksContinuously keep up-to-date on new developments in the communicable diseases fieldAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.About Communicable Diseases Agency:The Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) was established in 2025 as a statutory board under Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) to serve as the central authority for public health policymaking to manage and control the threat of communicable diseases. This is aimed at strengthening Singapore's public health capabilities built during the COVID-19 response to ensure a unified command and coordinated approach across all situations, from routine disease control to future outbreaks. CDA safeguards the nation from communicable diseases through disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, vaccination programs, public education, and global health collaboration. Beyond domestic activities, the CDA aims to expand Singapore's global outreach and foster collaboration with international partners.
