We are looking for a reliable sales development representative (SDR) to assist us identify and analyze prospective customers worldwide.Ideal SDRs have:Attention to detail and patienceAbility to research all aspects of leads (location, company, if they are good potential targets)Problem solving ability on how to deal with non responsive leadsAbility to set up sales closers for success by fully analyzing and qualifying prospectsNo fear of failureAbility to operate independentlyInternship GoalStrategy – assist team clarify sales and marketing flow and targetsMarketing – work with marketing team to qualify sales targetsSales – assist sales team engage with these leads in order to increase sales growthWorking LocationRemote (must be available for biweekly Skype meetings with managers and available for Skype calls with teammates)Responsibilities OverviewSales StrategyUtilizing various sales channels to generate sales opportunitiesProactively seeking new business opportunities in the marketReporting to sales manager with weekly and monthly KPIsManagement of Leads/OpportunitiesUsing Zoho Content Relationship Marketing (CRM) software - adding leads to the system, updating lead information, responding to client’s queriesAfter qualifying clients, updating pipeline of Opportunities and target accounts in CRMClient Problem SolvingUnderstanding client requirements and communicating to teamWorking with the procurement team to respond to clients queriesClient engagement and follow upClient DevelopmentEngaging with potential clients on Social Media e.g. LinkedInIdentifying ideal clients and working on already existing accounts in CRMIdentifying prospect's needs and suggest appropriate productsBuilding long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunitiesSetting up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executivesInternship RequirementA quick learner and ability to work independently after trainingHave an attention to detail (e.g. researching company details, contacts of target clients)Strong communication skills via written and spoken EnglishProven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skillsStrong desire and ability to move up within a sales organizationExperience in data entry and basic analysis is a plusDesired Skills & ExperienceWillingness to work on international tradeWillingness to learn especially in terms of related industries i.e. mining, construction, tradeWillingness to research and learn about sales and implement lessons learned to real worldStrong customer relationship management ability and/or business development abilityWork experience in either a start-up company or a sales-oriented company is preferred but not requiredExpected OutcomesConnect theory to real world experience of international tradeUnderstand the real challenges that occur before, during and after international trade especially when trading goods by seaUnderstand how a complete sales cycle occurs from marketing to sales to execution using real life examplesDesign and implement strategies as part of a team and learn how to contribute to a company team as opposed to academic teamLearn to communicate and engage with international multicultural team and diverse client base from all over the worldPotentially transition from internship to full time positionTrainingGeneral employer orientation (mandatory)Company mission/vision overviewStaff & locations overviewRole of internship in overall company strategyTasks overviewQ/AAt least biweekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetingsReview of work samplesTraining videosSeveral task videos are availableTraining documents available on shared Google FolderHow to use company software/CRMTask documents for each business departmentAccess to staff related to intern’s taskSeveral staff will be available via Skype for calls & questionsApplication InstructionsPlease apply for this position by submitting your text CV using InternSG.
