If you are a dynamic individual seeking a new career opportunity, read further!Reporting to the Dean, the role provides leadership, expertise and oversight for the planning, and governing of academic administration and student services delivery in the School through innovations, collaborations and engagements with internal and external stakeholders.Acting as a point of contact for external stakeholders for all initiatives and special projects related to student academic services, the role will also be working in collaboration with Associate Deans and Division Heads; as well as the Administrative Leads and Academic Leads of all the programme offices in the formulation of strategies, development of plans, solutions and implementation of strategic initiatives for undergraduate education, postgraduate education and continuing education.The responsibilities of this role are:Support to the Dean, Deputy Dean and the College's senior managementUniversity-wide academic initiatives
- Coordinate University-wide initiatves such as New Student Management System (SMS), Student Experience Surveys, etc
- Manage cross-college/ faculty, programme and division coordination
- Provide reports and updates to management on student and academic services matters
- Drive school-level automation, digitalisation efforts
- Direct school-level business process optimisation and work process improvements
- Design, develop, and implement solutions using generative AI models,
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI project requirements and streamline processes using technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
- Support strategic academic intiatives such as OBTL, InsPIRE and Learn projects.
- Facilitate academic programme reviews and academic proposal submissions to central and/or external departments.
- Oversee ADMO functions such as accreditation matters; rubrics designs, annual ranking exercises, faculty sufficiency; data goverance; and reports/data collation and submission to central and/or external departments
- Act as point of contact for all initiatives and special projects relating to student academic services.
- Coordinate projects and activities between departments and central units - colleges, schools, departments and centres.
- Partner central offices to provide inputs for university-wide policies, and to implement approved policies, regulations and guidelines.
- Good degree or Postgraduate Degree (MBA or Business PG Degree preferred) from a reputable university.
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 15 years' experience in a tertiary educational institute in the areas of programme administration and development and/or international engagement
- At least 10 to 15 years' demonstrated experience in strategic leadership, innovation and change management
- Good knowledge of process optimisation and design thinking
- Good knowledge of data visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc
- Up-to-date with AI areas and current trends, especially their application to problem-solving
- Demonstrated experience in AI technologies, with a specific focus on AI inference, optimisations, and application with education industry.
- Proficient in Python, RPA and have experience with machine learning
- Experienced in developing and implementing generative AI models for problem-solving and solution designs
- Prior experience in business development/relationship management, and other relevant experiences, such as project management and multi-scale administration, would also be an advantage
- Demonstrated track record of managing change and innovation across units and/or organisations.
- Demonstrated track record in senior stakeholder management and engagement; with the ability to build relationships with faculty, staff, students, alumni, corporates and external partners.
