We are looking for a Natural Language processing expert with a strong background in Statistics, Programming ( C++,C#, Python) and Big Data technologies. The main tasks include crawling text sources, performing fundamental natural language processing tasks including word segmentation, named entity recognition and sentiment classification and event & relationship extration to build Tuple libraries. Market prediction models will also be investigated.
This is a permanent position with a highly competitive renumeration package.
Required Skills
- Undergraduate Degree in Computer Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or similar quantitative field is a pre-requisite.
- Post-Graduate Degree (Masters/ PhD) in Natural Language Processing with strong foundations in bi-LSTM, RNNs, BERT. Experience with heuristics driven Expert System design is an added
- Research work/publications in applying Deep Learning methods to Natural Language Processing in relevant conference (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, KDD) demonstrating innovative research good presentation and writing
- Experience in applied statistics including sampling approaches, experiments, modelling, and data mining
- Experience building analytical models and working with structured and unstructured data
- Practical ETL experience with Python
- Expertise with Big Data technologies like Elastic Search, Hadoop, HDF5, Kafka, Hive/HBase.
- NoSQL technology (MongoDB, Cassandra, CouchBase) experience is a bonus
- Any Financial Markets knowledge is a bonus
- Work closely with product teams and clients to identify and scope research
- Ability to scale research findings through industrial grade
- Apply your expertise in survey design, quantitative analysis, and data mining to derive insights to show value or uncover missed
- Data Storage + Analytics: AWS Ecosystem with MongoDB & Elastic Search on S3
- Queueing System: RabbitMQ
- Programming: Python
- CDN: AWS or On-Premise Routing
