What the role is:The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore's central bank and integrated financial regulator.As central bank, MAS promotes sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through the conduct of monetary policy and close macroeconomic surveillance and analysis.   • To conduct surveillance and forecasting of Asia economies.
  • To conduct research on longer-term economic trends and developments
  • To prepare briefs, reports and speeches for senior management
  • To contribute to the work of staff with country-related functions within MAS and in other government ministries/agencies
  • To conduct research on international economic/financial issues
  • To guide younger officers on general macroeconomic surveillance and analysis
  • You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.

What we are looking for:
  • Minumum Master's degree in Economics
  • 10 year's experience and exposure to macro-analysis and forecasting (an exposure to the Asian economies would be an advantage)
  • Economic analysis and econometric skills
  • Competent grasp of macroeconomic frameworks, models and theories to
analyse and interpret economic developments and outlook * Excellent economic research and writing skills
  • Excellent presentational skills and ability to represent MAS at
  • meetings and conferences
