
Veterinarian/Senior Veterinarian - Centre for Animal Rehabilitation (Contract)

- Veterinary care and management of animals that fall under the care of CAR, including physical examination, triage, diagnostics, treatment, medication, veterinary and surgical procedures, and sampling for biosurveillance.
- Supervise and guide the team running the operations at the animal shelter and shelter clinic, including biosecurity, veterinary and clinical records, process review, procurement, and management of inventory and contract services, workplace health and safety, compliance with ISO and SOPs.
- Provide veterinary support for ongoing AVS programmes including surgical sterilisation of community dogs and cats, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals, disease outbreak investigation, inspection, and biosurveillance.
- Supervise and work with a team of shelter managers, veterinary technicians, interns, volunteers, and contracted service providers.
- Engage stakeholders such as Animal Welfare Groups, rehomers, and the community.
- Assist with other programmes and activities as required.
- Area of study in Veterinary Science/Veterinary Medicine or related areas.
- At least 5 years working experience in veterinary clinics or animal shelters is required.
- Competent in handling and treatment of common companion animal species, including but not limited to dogs, cats, small mammals, red-eared sliders, and birds.
- Positive, independent, self-motivated, meticulous, and enthusiastic.
- Able to work effectively with others in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Applications.
