- Contribute to the delivery of data analytics across multiple audit engagements, supporting planning, execution, and reporting phases with actionable insights.
- Translate audit objectives into data requirements, preparing and transforming data from source systems (e.g., ERP, spreadsheets, logs) for analysis.
- Build and maintain dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BI to support continuous monitoring and exception-based testing.
- Perform data analysis such as exception testing, variance analysis, and trend identification to support risk assessments and audit conclusions.
- Apply business logic and control understanding to interpret findings and provide relevant context to auditors and stakeholders.
- Support the design and optimization of automated alert mechanisms to identify threshold breaches and anomalies.
- Ensure data quality, completeness, and documentation consistency in all analytics deliverables.
- Collaborate with auditors, business units, and IT teams to validate data sources, align testing approaches, and contextualize results.
- Communicate analysis results clearly and constructively, adapting messaging based on the technical understanding of the audience.
- Demonstrate initiative and adaptability in a lean, fast-paced environment—comfortable managing multiple tasks with changing priorities.
- Handle sensitive data responsibly, maintaining access controls and data security best practices.
- Participate in digital transformation efforts by proposing automation opportunities, streamlining analytics processes, and supporting tool adoption across the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in data analytics, audit, risk, or business intelligence roles. This position is currently scoped as an individual contributor with title and responsibilities to be calibrated based on experience and fit.
- Strong proficiency in Excel & SQL; Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools is required.
- Experience with Python, R, or scripting languages is a plus.
- Foundational understanding of internal controls, risk concepts, or business processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain data analysis clearly and concisely.
- Curious, self-driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Exposure to audit, ITGC/ITAC testing, or data governance principles (e.g., SOX, COBIT) is an advantage.
