Apply for a GSK Traineeship today!The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Train-and-Place with Commitment to Hire) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals is a talent development programme aimed at building the next generation of skilled manpower for Singapore’s Biopharmaceuticals manufacturing industry in anticipation of hiring demand.The training programme consists of 15 months of local attachment with GSK. Due to the nature of the programme, we can only consider Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents. For more information, please visit Career Conversion Programmes (CCP) for IndividualsA certificate will be given to successful trainees upon completion of the programme.What will you do?The MSAT process science technician’s role is to support the scientists in various process development and process evaluation studies via various tasks such as inventory management, buffer preparation, trial execution and sample management.Key responsibilities
  • Management of MSAT Process Science facility
  • Support qualification of MSAT Process Science equipment
  • Support lab management activities such as freezer inventory management, materials management, and buffer preparation for trial preparation.
  • Participate / contribute to lab management improvement ideas where applicable.
  • Support process development / evaluation trials (scale down model verification studies. process evaluation studies and perform samples analysis)
  • Sample management
  • Participate and conduct tests for analytical method transfer (Octet system, Lowry test), support sample analysis and manage testing schedule based on project needs
  • Support Environment. Health, Safety and Wellness initiatives
What will you learn?
  • Develop strong scientific understanding for process development of various vaccines portfolio.
  • Master important skills for laboratory management such as inventory and sample management
  • Run process development trials independently and interpret trial outcomes
What are we looking for?
  • Diploma in Biotechnology or another relevant field. (preferred)
  • Relevant experience in the bio/pharmaceutical industry in Production, Process Development, Quality Control, R&D or MSAT is a plus.
  • At least 2 years' experience in bio/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Good knowledge of safety and environment regulations. Good communication skills.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Good command of English (verbal and written).
