PurposeThis role exists in the End User Device Management team, as part of a group of skilled support and implementation staff responsible for the management, administration, delivery, and integrity of the mobile and endpoint computing infrastructure for some 7,000 end users globally.What we are looking forYou will be joining a friendly and dynamic team within the Technology function, based across the UK and Germany. The team consists of 8 members.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, with language skills in other major Asian countries a distinct advantage
  • Good analytical skills, able to identify and resolve problems.
  • Effective team worker - working closely and sharing knowledge with geographically distributed cross-functional teams, with a real focus on customer service.
  • Good time management, confident and effective communicator.
  • Self-motivated, takes ownership. Good sense of humour.
  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and handle potentially complex issues.
  • Have a clear desire to extend skills into other areas as required by the role over time.
Expectations of the role
  • The primary purpose of the role is to work within the team to deliver, maintain and support our SharePoint and MS Teams services in a high-availability and fast paced environment.
  • The role requires a high degree of collaboration with stakeholders outside of the Technology function. There will be direct internal collaboration, and with 3rd party suppliers and vendors to ensure that the services meet our customers’ needs.
Key TasksGeneral BAU Work
  • Assisting with Cyber Essentials compliance (incl. general server patching, CU installations and reporting).
  • Compiling monthly usage stats.
  • Manging ServiceNow Tickets
  • General Housekeeping tasks
System Improvements
  • Automate compiling the monthly usage stats.
  • Improve monitoring of SharePoint and MS Teams (incl. data feeds).
  • Managing critical systems globally
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in a 3rd line support role with SharePoint applications, on-prem, hybrid and in the cloud and MS Teams / Teams Telephony.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the following technologies:, MS Teams, MS Teams Telephony, SharePoint Online and On-Premises, IIS, .NET web applications using the .NET framework Microsoft Azure, Windows Operating Systems, Azure DevOps Release Pipelines, F5 Load balancing, SAML Single Sign-On, PowerShell and scripting, TCP/IP and basic networking concepts, diagnostics tools such as Wireshark or Fiddler, SCOM and Active Directory
  • Previous experience working in a global organisation and an understanding of the core business activities of legal or other professional services firms.
  • Strong commercial awareness and continual drive to maximise delivery of business value.
  • Effective & strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated experience in working within a large team located globally.
  • Self-learner with a passion to learn modern technologies and to try new concepts and approaches and with a desire to impart knowledge to others.
  • Pragmatic & results orientated.
The Team
  • We are currently migrating to MS Teams Telephony from Jabber and we are also in the planning phases for a migration to SharePoint online and for the right candidate its an ideal time to join and help support the team and firm on what promises to be both challenging and rewarding time.
  • Whilst the role is predominantly a BAU type of role there’s opportunities for you to automate / streamline many of the those BAU processes freeing both you and the team to work on more value add incentives.
