DO.MART was established in 2020. We run mini market within condominiums. We carry basic needs in store, including frozen merchandises, household goods, toiletries, dairies, alcoholic drinks, cooking ingredients, food cupboard essentials, drinks, fruits & vegetables, beauty & personal care item, partywares, pet supplies, and more. In addition, we also serve as a parcel drop off and collection point for the convenience of the residents. We also work with laundry vendors to provide general laundry services to the customers. We are currently operating in Gallop Gables & The Raintree. We work our best to cater to the needs of the residents and constantly improve customer experience.The RoleWe are looking for hard-working, customer-oriented shop assistant to ensure the smooth running of in-store retail operations. A great entry-level position for those looking to gain experience in the retail industry. A store assistant is responsible for a wide range of tasks, including stocking shelves, handling cash, and responding to customer inquiries. They also need to be comfortable with repetitive tasks such as restocking and cleaning up the store. Store assistant should be able to remain clam under pressure, have a basic understanding of cash handling, and be able to multitask effectively.Job Duties & Responsibilities.
  • Welcome customers to the shop.
  • Monitor customer activities to prevent incidents of shoplifting.
  • Arrange display chiller and shelves.
  • Identify customers’ needs and recommend suitable shop items that best satisfy their needs.
  • Assist customers in locating desired shop items.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of store items to provide advice and recommendations as needed.
  • Inform customers of shop promotions.
  • Receive, process, and organize delivery parcels accordingly.
  • Restock items and ensure that the sales floor is organized according to established guidelines.
  • Perform regular price audits to identify and correct price discrepancies.
  • Address and resolve customer's complaints professionally.
  • Process customer payments using the shop’s Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash.
  • Unpack and label incoming stocks and Manage inventory.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
  • Use labeling and pricing equipment as well as Point of Sale (POS) software.
