Overview:The National University Hospital (NUH) is a tertiary hospital and major referral centre offering a comprehensive suite of specialist care for adults, women and children. As Singapore's first university hospital, NUH is one of the few hospitals able to provide care throughout one's entire life stages by harnessing its clinical, education, research capabilities across its suite of specialties.The Clinical Ops Finance team partners the clinical specialties to provide business insights and support to improve the financial sustainability of their services for both patients and hospital. The position holder will be part of the Clinical Support team which works closely with various clinical clusters and hospital stakeholders to help develop and operationalize the financial aspects of new services and programs, including national programs from the Ministry of Health for the respective clinical services across Singapore's first university hospital. These are cornerstones to the financial sustainability of the public healthcare system and key enablers to value driven care and Healthier SG.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support reporting to ministries for grants and claims and internal financial reports, which includes tracking, submission and reconciliation of claims.
  • Support internal allocations to capture fully loaded cost for the clinical departments and their services
  • Partner clinical departments to analyze financials, assess viability of projects and adequacy of funding approaches
  • Be involved in development of impactful periodic departmental reports which include productivity and financial analysis
  • Assist in annual budget and projection cycles, work with departments to understand opportunities and risks and develop improvement plans
  • Support national system implementation and document processes
  • Take on other ad-hoc and admin matters
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in relevant disciplines; Accountancy, Business, Finance
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Be a team player and also able to work independently
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with a good balance between implementation and accuracy
  • Motivated, proactive and optimistic about challenges
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel (advanced), VBA Macros, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with scripting and data visualization tools, such as Python and Power BI is preferred
  • Experience in healthcare sector or operational planning will be an advantage
