- Operates, controls and monitors production and utility units through DCS control system and in the field in a safe and responsible manner.
- Conducts in-process quality control.
- Carries out material handling activities, both raw materials receipt and final product packaging.
- Carries out waste management activities on site.
- Assist in carrying out HSES and PSM-related duties designed to be of Chemical Technicians job scope and responsibilities.
- Take ownership of the plant performance. Ensure production and consumption of area of responsibility is at target and perform prioritized tasks.
- Supports team colleagues to achieve their target and to resolved problems in a safe and efficient way using available standards
- Be part of Plant Emergency Response Team
- Adherence to individual and shared targets (volume, consumption, tasks)
- Execution of production tasks and prioritized tasks; timely intervention upon deviation.
- Gap resolution and recording for own area, planned versus actual production performance
- Diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC with Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience as a Chemical Technician with a petrochemical / chemical / pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Singapore.
- Hands-on line, field experience in chemical process operations is essential
- Good working experience in areas like safety, occupational health, quality, environment, logistics and maintenance.
- HSE and Quality minded attitude.
- Possess Class 1 or Class 2 local boiler attendant certification will be advantage
- Knowledge of product quality control techniques is an advantage.
- Competency in HAZMAT and fire-fighting is an advantage.
- Having a forklift driving license is an advantage.
