
VP, Correspondent Banking, Global Payments APAC

- Establish and manage correspondent and funding bank relationships, across APAC.
- Design and implement operational frameworks for cross-border payments, FX trading and settlement.
- Partner with Product and Technology teams to build scalable, compliant payment infrastructure and customer solutions.
- Act as a senior liaison with key financial institutions, partners, and clients to support growth and operational efficiency.
- Own the end-to-end process for account opening, maintenance, and ongoing relationship management with correspondent banks.
- Support compliance, AML, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

- Domain Knowledge: Deep expertise in:
- Thorough knowledge of FX workflows, reconciliation and investigations in payments
- Working knowledge of cross-border payment regulations in the region.
- Ability to interface with correspondent banks and experience in account opening and maintenance
- Proven expertise in innovation - should be able to come up with ideas for customizing solutions for our customers for the operational part of their transaction workflow
- Acumen to ideate, adopt and implement new technologies such as GenAI, Stablecoins etc. in payments operations
- Minimum 8 years' experience with at least 5 years in managerial roles within FX payments, cross-border operations, or correspondent banking, preferably in a fintech or global financial institution.
- Strong understanding of the APAC banking ecosystem, including key financial institutions, payment rails, and regulatory environments.
- Must have an established relationship and contact network across banks and non-bank financial institutions in APAC.
- Experience in implementing Payments, Core Banking/post trade systems, client portals, SWIFT alliance, reconciliations, Sanctions screening and fraud detection, customer service platforms from operational perspective.
- Demonstrated ability to lead global / regional, cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives across borders.
