What the role is:As an inspector with the Supervision Division, you are responsible for supervising gambling licensees through risk-based reviews, and fosters licensees' governance, compliance and risk awareness through licensees' adoption of best practices and standards. You will report to Senior Assistant Director (Supervision) and be part of a team of inspectors who inspect the gambling licensees for regulatory compliance.What you will be working on:As part of your duties, you will be assigned to review operational framework and policies, which encompasses a risk-based approach on areas of gambling operations, supervisory response plans and methods. The risk-based reviews can cover assessment of licensees' state of governance, compliance and risk awareness. You will also handle patron dispute when a casino operator and a patron of the casino are unable to resolve to the satisfaction of the patron any dispute as to alleged winnings, alleged losses or the matter in which a game is conducted. You will have the opportunity to be posted to other Divisions within the Gambling Regulatory Authority to experience other aspects of gambling regulatory duties and responsibilities, as part of your development as a regulator. You will get to interact with people from different walks of life and be at the forefront of Singapore's gambling regulatory regime.What we are looking for:
Knowledge in Accountancy, Auditing, Economics, Business or related fields preferred * Prior work experience in audit, IT audit, compliance and regulation will be an advantage * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong observation skills * Well-developed analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking skills and have the ability to pay attention to details * Ability to work both independently and as an effective team player in a highly dynamic environment * High standard of integrity, drive and sense of urgency All applicants who are shortlisted for the next round of assessment will be notified within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
